The growth and success of the Sunnyvale-Cupertino Adult and Community Education (ACE) Program can be measured in part by the accomplishments of its students and community partners. I would like to take this opportunity to recognize a few of them. One of our successful students, Donna Wills, and one of our community partners, Our Lady of Fatima Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facility, were honored at the October NOVA Annual CONNECT! Luncheon - Donna for being an outstanding alumni and our Lady of Fatima Facility for providing compassionate care, support and comfort to our older adults. An outstanding ACE instructor, Fusako Hoyrup, led a very successful Wafu School of Ikebana 35th Anniversary Flower Show which featured fantastic arrangements from Fusako and a host of students and teachers she had trained. Lastly, the Adult and Community Education program was recognized, along with the Fremont Union High School District, as Community Partners of the Year by the California Department of Rehabilitation for participation in the Transitional Partnership Program for Students with Disabilities. We are so proud of these accomplishments and are dedicated to continue serving the Sunnyvale-Cupertino community.
